Sorcerer Skills

From Diablo 4 Wiki

The Sorcerer has access to six groups of skills and in general, they serve the following purposes:

  • Basic
  • Core

Skills are augmented augmented by Talents. View the Sorcerer Talents or the full Sorcerer Skill Tree.


Basic

Frost Bolt

Throw a bolt of frost at an enemy, dealing 39.00% (26 - 31) damage and  Chilling them for 13%.

Upgrade Hub

Enhanced Frost Bolt

Frost Bolt has a 10% chance to explode on Chilled targets, hitting nearby enemies. Chance increased by 100% against frozen targets.

Glinting Frost Bolt

Frost Bolt generates 4 Mana when hitting Chilled or Frozen.

Flickering Frost Bolt

Frost Bolt makes Frozen enemies  Vulnerable for 2 seconds.

Fire Bolt

Hurl a flaming bolt, dealing 10.00% (6 - 8) damage and Burning for 135.00% 26 over 8 seconds.

Spark

Launch a bolt of lightning that shocks an enemy 4 times, dealing 5.00% (3 - 4) damage each hit.

Upgrade Hub

Enhanced Spark

Each time Spark hits, it has 20% chance to hit to 3 additional enemies dealing 3.50% (2 - 2) damage. If there are no other enemies to hit, Spark instead deals 20% increased damage to its primary target.

Spark grants 2% increased Critical Strike Chance per enemy hit for 3 seconds, up to 10%.

Flickering Spark

Each time Spark forks it has 3% chance to spawn a Crackling Energy.

Arc Lash

Unleash arcing lightning that shocks enemies in front of you for 30.00% (20 - 24). Every 10 times Arc Lash swipes, it stuns all enemies hit for 2 seconds.

If Arc Lash's initial swipe Critically Strikes, it swipes and additional time.

Hitting a Stunned enemy with Arc Lash reduces your cooldowns by 0.25 seconds.

Gain 6% Movement Speed for 5 seconds per enemy hit with Arc Lash, up to 18%.

Core

Fireball

Hurl an exploding ball of fire, dealing 66.00% (42 - 51) damage to nearby enemies.

Fireball costs 10 less Mana.

Greater Fireball

When you cast Fireball while  Healthy, it has a 50% increased radius and deals 20% increased Critical Strike Damage.

Destructive Fireball

Fireball deals x20% increased damage to the first enemy hit by its explosion.

Incinerate

Channel a beam of fire, Burning enemies for 36.40% (25). Damage increases by 17.50% (12) per second, up to 71.40% (59).

Mana Cost: 20 per second

Enhanced Incinerate

While Channeling Incinerate, you take 30% less damage from nearby enemies.

Greater Incinerate

Incinerate now starts at full power, but its Channeling cost is increased by 80%.

Destructive Incinerate

While Channeling Incinerate, you burn nearby enemies for 15% of the damage per second.

Frozen Orb

Unleash an orb that Chills for 34% and expels piercing shards dealing a total of 31.69% (20 - 24) damage. Upon expiration, Frozen Orb explodes, dealing 29.25% (18 - 22) damage. and Chilling enemies for 9%.

Enhanced Frozen Orb

When cast above 50 Mana, Frozen Orb's explosion damage is increased by x30%.

Frozen Orb's explosion has a 25% chance to make all enemies hit Vulnerable for 2 seconds.

Destructive Frozen Orb

Frozen Orb's explosion restores 5 Mana when hitting a  Frozen enemy.

Ice Shards

Launch 5 shards that deal 25.00% (16-19) damage each. Deals x25% increased damage to  Frozen enemies.

Enhanced Ice Shards

Ice Shards have 15% chance to ricochet to another enemy.

Greater Ice Shards

While you have a Barrier active, Ice Shards treats enemies as if they were  Frozen.

Destructive Ice Shards

Hitting an enemy with 5 Ice Shards in a single cast makes them  Vulnerable for 2 seconds.

Chain Lightning

Unleash lightning that deals 42.00% (26-32) damage and chains up to 4 times.

Chain Lightning bounces to 1 additional enemy.

When Chain Lightning Critically Strikes, it has a 25% chance to spawn a Crackling Energy.

Chain Lightning deals x5% increased damage per enemy hit.

Charged Bolts

Release 5 bolts of lightning that course along the ground in an erratic pattern, dealing 15.00% (9-11) each.

Hitting the same enemy with at least 5 Charged Bolts in a single cast reduces their damage by 20%. for 3 seconds

Defensive

Required Points: 6

Flame Shield

Engulf yourself in flames for 2 seconds, Burning nearby enemies for 6.50% (4) per second.

While Flame Shield is active, you are Immune.

Flame Shield grants 25% Movement Speed while active.

Enemies continue Burning for 3 additional seconds after being hit by Flame Shield.

Flame Shield makes enemies  Vulnerable for 4 seconds.

Frost Nova

Unleash a torrent of frost,  Freezing enemies around you for 2 seconds.

Frost Nova's  Freeze duration is increased by 20% when hitting 3 or more enemies.

Frost Nova generates 4 Mana per enemy hit.

Ice Armor

A Barrier of ice forms around you for 6 seconds, absorbing 21 damage. While Ice Armor is active, 10% of your Cold Damage dealt is added to its  Barrier.

Barriers absorb damage from all sources up to a specified amount.

While Ice Armor is active, your Mana Regeneration is increased by 25%.

While Ice Armor’s Barrier is at or above its original amount, you deal x30% increased damage.

Enemies that hit you while Ice Armor is active have a 15% chance to be Frozen for 3 seconds.

Teleport

Transform into lightning becoming Unstoppable and surging to the target location dealing 25.00% (16 -9) damage around you upon arrival.

After Teleporting, take 30% less damage for 5 seconds.

For 4 seconds after Teleporting, Crackling Energy deals x40% more damage.

Teleport’s cooldown is decreased by 0.5 seconds per enemy hit, up to 3 seconds.

Conjuration

Required Points: 11

Hydra

Summon a 3 headed hydra for 8.0 seconds. Each head spits fire at a nearby enemy, dealing 30.00% (19 - 23) damage.

Mana Cost: 20

Enhanced Hydra

Hydras last for an additional 4 seconds.

Summoned Hydra

Hydra also Burns enemies for an additional 12% of its base damage dealt over 6 seconds.

After you Critically Strike, Hydras gain 15% Attack Speed for 3 seconds.

Lightning Spear

Conjure a crackling spear of lightning that seeks out enemies for 6.0 seconds, dealing 15.00% (9 - 11) damage per hit.

Lightning Spear has a 10% increased chance to critically strike against Stunned enemies.

Collecting Crackling Energy reduces the cooldown of Lightning Spear by 0.5 seconds.

After critically striking, Lightning Spear has a 5% increased stacking critical strike chance for its duration.

Ice Blades

Conjure ice blades for 6.0 seconds that rapidly slashes enemies for 30.67% (19 - 24) damage and has a 20% chance to make them Vulnerable for 2 seconds.

Ice Blades has a 10% increased chance to make enemies Vulnerable.

Every time Ice Blades hits a  Vulnerable enemy, it gains 25% Attack Speed, up to 100%.

Invoked Ice Blades

Killing a  Vulnerable enemy increases your active Ice Blades' duration by 1 second.

Mastery

Required Points: 16

Blizzard

Summon a frigid blizzard that deals 120.00% 85 damage and continually Chills enemies for 18% over 5 seconds.

Enhanced Blizzard

Blizzard’s duration is increased by 2 seconds.

Every second an enemy is in Blizzard, they take x2.5% increased damage from you, up to x20%.

While you have an active Blizzard, your  Core Skills cost 10% less Mana.

Barriers absorb damage from all sourced up to a specified amount.

You deal more damage to enemies the more Chilled they are, up x6% while they are  Frozen.

While you have a  Barrier active, you apply 8% more  Chill.

Ball Lightning

Conjure a ball of lightning that slowly moves forward, continually zapping enemies for 15.00% (9 - 11) damage.

Ball Lightning deals damage 30% more frequently.

Each time Ball Lightning hits an enemy, it deals x2% increased damage, up to x30%.

If an enemy is hit at least 4 times by a cast of Ball Lightning, a  Crackling Energy is formed.

Critical Strikes with Shock Skills have a 5% chance to form a Crackling Energy.

Firewall

Create a wall of flames that Burns enemies for 160.00% 114 over 8 seconds.

Meteor

Summon a meteor that strikes the target location, dealing 50.00% (32 - 39) damage and Burning the ground for 35.00% (24) damage over 3 seconds.

Ultimate

Required Points: 23

Deep Freeze

Encase yourself in ice, becoming  Immune for 4 seconds, continually Chilling enemies for 20%. When Deep Freeze ends,  Frozen enemies shatter for 200.00% (128 - 156). Casting Deep Freeze again ends the effect early.

Cooldown: 58.8

Prime Deep Freeze

Gain 5%of your Life as a Barrier for 6 seconds for each enemy shattered by Deep Freeze.

When Deep Freeze ends, your active cooldowns are reduced by 50%.

Inferno

Ignite a roaring inferno that pulses in and out of the target area, Burning enemies for 295.00% (210) damage over 8 seconds, and then explodes, dealing 50.00% (32 - 39) damage to enemies on the outer edge.

Enemies inside of Inferno's final explosion are Immobilized for 4 seconds.

Killing a Burning enemy reduces Inferno's cooldown by 1 second.

Unstable Currents

Lightning surges within you for 10 seconds. Whenever you cast a  Lightning Skill, another random Lightning Skill is also cast.
