Glyphs

What are Glyphs?

Glyphs are not to be confused with runes. Glyphs are specific to Diablo 4 and can be found throughout Sanctuary. They are used specifically in the Paragon Board.

On the Paragon board are special tiles in which a Glyph can be embedded. When slotted, these Glyphs provide a bonus based on the number of active tiles within their radius.


Where do you get Glyphs?

Glyphs are obtained from Nightmare Dungeons which means you will at least need to be in World Tier 3 (Nightmare Difficulty). They can drop from elites, chests, and the final boss.

To access Nightmare Dungeons you will need acquire Nightmare Sigils. The best way to farm the Nightmare Sigils is by carrying out Tree of Whispers tasks or through crafting.

Leveling up Glyphs

Glyphs can be levelled up by entering Nightmare Dungeons and completing the dungeon. At the end of the boss fight the Glyph can be levelled up by accessing a console which will appear when you have completed the dungeoin. Upgrading a Glyph expands the radius of its effect, allowing each one to draw power from or impart power to even more active tiles. At levels 1 - 14 their radius is 3, at level 15 it increases to 4.

The statistics of the Glyph itself also improve the higher the level it is. Rare Glyphs can be levelled up to a maximum of 21 and Magic max out at level 11.

Glyph Types

The most important Glyphs are the Rare Glyphs as these make significant changes to a build. Magic Glyphs less so but they will still boost your build to a certain degree.

Rare: Barbarian

Bonus:

  • Grants + 25% (lvl 1) - 125% (lvl 21) bonus to all Magic nodes within range.

Additional Bonus:

  • You deal x 8% increased damage while Wielding One-Handed Weapons.

Bloodfeeder

Rare: Barbarian

Bonus:

  • For every 5 Dexterity purchased within range, you deal + 2% (lvl 1) - 8% (lvl 21) increased damage to Bleeding (DoT) targets.

Rare: Barbarian

Bonus:

  • Paragon nodes within range gain + 11% (lvl 1) - 55% (lvl 21) bonus to their Physical damage and damage reduction modifiers.

Cleaver

Rare: Barbarian

Bonus:

  • For every 5 Strength purchased within range, you deal + 1.3% (lvl 1) - 5.3% (lvl 21) increased damage while wielding an Axe.

Rare: Barbarian

Bonus:

  • For every 5 Strength purchased within range, you deal + 1.3% (lvl 1) - 5.3% (lvl 21) increased damage while wielding a Mace.

Additional Bonus:

  • While wielding a Mace, you deal x20% increased Overpower damage.

Requirements: 40 Strength

Disembowel

Rare: Barbarian

Bonus:

  • For every 5 Willpower purchased within range, you deal + 2% (lvl 1) - 8% (lvl 21) increased Bleeding (DoT) damage.

Additional Bonus:

  • Killing a Bleeding (DoT) enemy has a 10% chance to reduce the Cooldowns of your Non-Ultimate active Cooldowns by 1 second.

Requirements: 25 Willpower

Dominate

Rare: Barbarian / Druid / Necromancer

Bonus:

  • For every 5 Willpower (Barb, Necro) / Intelligence (Druid) purchased within range, you deal + 8% (lvl 1) - 40% (lvl 21) increased Overpower damage.

Additional Bonus:

  • Every 30 seconds, your next attack will Overpower.

Executioner

Rare: Barbarian

Bonus:

  • For every 5 Strength purchased within range, you deal + 1.3% (lvl 1) - 5.3% (lvl 21) increased damage while wielding a Polearm.

Additional Bonus:

  • While wielding a Polearm, you deal 10%[x] increased damage.

Exploit

Bonus:

  • For every 5 Dexterity (Barb, Druid) / Strength (Rogue) / Dexterity (Necro, Sorc) purchased within range, you deal + 2% (lvl 1) - 8% (lvl 21) increased damage to Vulnerable targets.

Additional Bonus:

  • When an enemy is damaged by you, they become Vulnerable for 3 seconds. This cannot happen more than once every 20 seconds per enemy.

Imbiber

Rare: Barbarian / Necromancer / Sorcerer

Bonus:

  • For every 5 Willpower purchased within range, you deal + 2.65% (lvl 1) - 10% (lvl 21) increased damage while Healthy.

Additional Bonus:

  • You gain + 30% increased Potion Healing.

Requirements: 25 Willpower

Bonus:

  • For every 5 Strength purchased within range, you deal + 1.3% (lvl 1) - 5.3% (lvl 21) increased damage while Berserking.

Additional Bonus:

  • While Berserking, you take 10% reduced damage from Elites.

Requirements: 40 Strength

  • Grants + 25% (lvl 1) - 125% (lvl 21) bonus to all Magic nodes within range.

Additional Bonus:

  • After casting a Shout Skill, the active Cooldown of every other Shout Skill is reduced by 2 seconds.

Rare: Barbarian

Bonus:

  • For every 5 Dexterity purchased within range, Skills that Swap to a different weapon deal + 2.7% (lvl 1) - 16.7% (lvl 21) increased damage.

Bonus:

  • Grants + 20% (lvl 1) - 100% (lvl 21) bonus to all Rare nodes within range.

Additional Bonus:

  • Dealing Thorns damage to an enemy increases all damage it takes from you by x 1%, up to x 8% for 10 seconds.

Bonus:

  • For every 5 Strength purchased within range, your Earthquakes deal + 13.3% (lvl 1) - 40% (lvl 21) increased damage.

Additional Bonus:

  • You deal x 10% increased damage to Bosses and Crowd Controlled enemies for each active Earthquake.

Bonus:

  • For every 5 Strength purchased within range, your Dust Devils deal + 13.3% (lvl 1) - 40% (lvl 21) increased damage.

Additional Bonus:

  • You deal x 13% increased damage for 4 seconds after creating a Dust Devil.

Requirements: 40 Strength

Rare: Barbarian / Druid / Necromancer

Bonus:

  • For every 5 Willpower (Barb, Necro) / Intelligence (Druid) purchased within range, you deal + 2% (lvl 1) - 10% (lvl 21) increased damage while Fortified.

Additional Bonus:

  • You gain 10% Damage Reduction the more Fortify you have.

Weapon Master

Rare: Barbarian

Bonus:

  • Paragon nodes within range gain + 11% (lvl 1) - 55% (lvl 21) bonus to their Physical damage and damage reduction modifiers.

Additional Bonus:

  • Hitting with a Weapon Mastery Skill reduces the active Cooldown of another random Weapon Mastery Skill by 2 seconds.

  • For every 5 Intelligence (Druid) / Strength (Rogue) purchased within range, you deal + 2% (lvl 1) - 10% (lvl 21) increased Poison damage.

Additional Bonus:

  • Poisoning damage effects have a 10% chance to deal double the amount of damage over their duration.

Rare: Druid

Bonus:

  • For every 5 Willpower purchased within range, your Lightning Bolts and Dancing Bolts deal + 13.3% (lvl 1) - 40% (lvl 21) increased damage.

Additional Bonus:

  • Enemies damaged by your Lightning Bolts or Dancing Bolts take x 20% increased damage from you for 5 seconds.

Bonus:

  • For every 5 Dexterity (Barb, Druid) / Strength (Rogue) / Dexterity (Necro, Sorc) purchased within range, you deal + 2% (lvl 1) - 8% (lvl 21) increased damage to Vulnerable targets.

Additional Bonus:

  • When an enemy is damaged by you, they become Vulnerable for 3 seconds. This cannot happen more than once every 20 seconds per enemy.

  • For every 5 Intelligence purchased within range, you deal + 2% (lvl 1) - 10% (lvl 21) increased Non-physical damage.

Additional Bonus:

  • Non-Physical damage increases all the Non-Physical damage an enemy takes from you by x 1%, up to x 10%, for 15 seconds.

  • For every 5 Dexterity purchased within range, you deal + 1.3% (lvl 1) - 6.6% (lvl 21) increased Physical damage.

Additional Bonus:

  • Physical damage increases the damage an enemy takes from you by x 1%, up to x 10%, for 15 seconds.

  • For every 5 Intelligence (Necro) purchased within range, you deal + 2% (lvl 1) - 10% (lvl 21) increased damage to Crowd Controlled targets.
  • For every 5 Intelligence (Rogue) / 5 Dexterity (Sorc) purchased within range, you deal 3% (lvl 1) - 15% (lvl 21) increased damage to Crowd Controlled enemies.

Additional Bonus:

  • You (and your Minions, necro only) deal x 10% increased damage to Slowed (CC) or Chilled (CC) enemies or, instead, x 20% increased damage to Stunned (CC) or Frozen (CC) enemies.
