What is Barrier

A temporary additional barrier of protection that can be gained through certain skills and items worn.

The player's Health Orb shows a blue hue indicating there is an active Barrier. As the Barrier effect depletes you'll see the blue hue drain.

Blue hue indicates Barrier is active.

Monsters with the Status Effect Barrier have their names surrounded in a blue hue which reduces as the Barrier runs out.

The blue hue around their name means a Barrier is active.

Only the Barbarian, Druid and Sorcerer have skills which grant or improve Barrier.

Iron Skin Steel yourself, gaining a Barrier that absorbs 50% of your missing Life for 5 seconds Cooldown: 14.0 seconds	Enhanced Iron Skin Iron Skin absorbs +10% more Missing Life. Requires point in Iron Skin.	Tactical Iron Skin While Iron Skin is active, restore Life equal to 10% of the Barrier's original amount per second. Requires point in Enhanced Iron Skin.
